Survive if you can.
EXTRAHARD MEDIEVAL is a small Swedish Minecraft server for friends, where survival is for real. Monsters are stronger, caves are deadlier and the night is a time for battle.
The world is kept in order by Smeden. You rarely see Smeden, but Smeden sees you.

Extra hard
ExtraHardMode makes the world tougher: more dangerous monsters, caves that collapse and less forgiving survival.
Protect your build
Your first chest protects the land around it. Grow it with the golden shovel and /extendclaim. Nobody else can build or take anything there without your permission.
PvP at night
Daytime is peaceful. When the sun goes down players can hurt each other, so stay home or keep your sword ready.
What makes it extra hard?
The server runs ExtraHardMode – something few servers dare to do.
The mountain does not give way easily. Stone and deepslate only yield to a proper pickaxe, and even that wears down faster than you can curse. Nobody digs straight down here. You seek out the caves that nature has already opened, follow the ore veins where the rock grows soft, or pack gunpowder and blast your way forward until the stone lies as cobblestone at your feet. And all the while you listen to the ceiling. Softened stone gives way, one collapse brings down the next, and whoever digs too greedily may be buried in their own mine.
Deeper down the air grows heavy and stale. Torches sputter, gasp and go out for want of air, and only those who packed lanterns can see the way. Down there wait zombies that rise again when you thought them dead, skeletons that shoot fire and silverfish, and creepers that sometimes leave a parcel of TNT behind.
Above ground it is not much better. A fall that should have been nothing can break your legs, heavy armour drags you to the bottom of deep water, and the land is stingy: crops wither, the desert bears nothing and the snow kills the fields. When the sun goes down everything grows harder still – and then other players may raise their swords against you too.
If you die you wake up in a village you know, perhaps far from where you fell. Some of what you carried is gone forever, and the rest lies where you fell. The road back you walk alone.
